Purpose of project:
TheNxtStep was tasked with facilitating the development of a strategy for the trade body whose purpose is to grow the Hydrogen Economy in Scotland.
The vison was to make Hydrogen Scotland (HS) by 2030 the go-to trade organisation for anyone in the Hydrogen business and with this have a range services indicative of this ambition.
Our Approach:
The project had a phased approach. First TheNxtStep facilitated the Board to articulate their shared vision for Hydrogen Scotland in 2030.
The second phase focused on engaging the membership in both the vison and the services that should be developed by 2030. Their feedback was sought, via interviews and workshops, and adjustments were made.
Lastly TheNxtStep further engaged the members in a final workshop, using their input to define priorities and set out a timeline for delivery of actions: all designed to achieve the vision.
Outcomes:
These discussions and workshops resulted in a clear path forward for Hydrogen Scotland. The actionable plan, with KPI’s and a timeline, can now be delivered by the team. But most importantly, the plans are based on the needs and views of the members. As a trade organisation the engagement of members and Board is crucial to creating and delivering a winning strategy.
